Purpose of the study: Vinorelbine is a semisynthetic vinca alkaloid belonging to the same class as vincristine and vinblastine. This drug has been used in people and dogs with various cancers, and although well-tolerated, neutropenia has been the dose-limiting toxicity in both species. Anecdotally, it has been used in cats at low dosages with no toxicity. However, to date, no clinical trials have been conducted.

The objectives of this study are to determine the dose-limiting toxicity and maximum tolerated dosage, to establish a safe starting dosage, and to elucidate treatment-related side effects of vinorelbine in tumor-bearing cats.
